With new legal regulations constantly being introduced in Europe, the requirements for transport securing are increasing—not only regarding the necessary load-securing equipment, but also, for example, under the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation), regarding the sustainability of the packaging used. This is accompanied by a correspondingly and continuously growing demand for sustainable load-securing packaging. With over 30 years of experience, we at J.N. Lüning & Co. GmbH, as one of the pioneers in the anti-slip segment, have been offering our plastic-free specialty papers and cardboards since the early 1990s, which prevent cargo from slipping in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. We are particularly proud of ourplastic-free anti-slip coating, thanks to our consistent focus on sustainable coatings in the development of technical papers. In fact, we view this as an enormously important USP (Unique Selling Point). It is not always easy to determine whether a cost-effective paper will suffice, or whether a very sturdy grayboard (solid board) or stiff corrugated board is required.

When is which option the right choice?

Anti-slip paper is ideal for light to heavy products in high volumes. It is thin, flexible, and cost-effective—particularly attractive to bulk buyers. Anti-slip cardboard is primarily used for heavy loads, such as pallet liners or interlayers. It is very sturdy, well-suited for automated handling, versatile, and reusable. Anti-slip corrugated paper is the optimal solution for localized loads, such as with pressure-sensitive cartons. It stands out for its robust, rigid structure, is suitable for automated handling, shock-absorbing, and also reusable.
